  • Overview

    Lead the multi-channel media engagement for one of Wunderman DC’s top clients.  Guide the client in key strategic conversations shaping the marketing strategy and tactics.  Capitalize on industry trends and data innovations to deliver superior experiences for our clients’ customers and customer prospects.  Oversee the media plan tactical execution ensuring flawless delivery. 

    Responsibilities

    • Client-facing point person responsible for the media aspects of the overall agency engagement.
    • Lead overall media planning approach by linking media strategy and brand objectives. Guide initiatives from planning to deployment to optimization with focus on delivering against client strategies and business goals. 
    • Work closely with media execution partner ensuring insightful planning and flawless execution of media plans.  Regularly communicate status to team and client with specific emphasis on progress vs. plan schedule, budget, risks and upcoming activities.
    • Escalate risks and issues appropriately.  Promptly communicate to the team. Work with media partner(s) to identify solutions and quickly address. 
    • Constantly evaluate performance, shifts in the marketplace and brand team priorities to ensure media efforts support the brand strategy and priorities.  Proactively seek opportunities and initiate recommendations to the agency team and brand clients.
    • Be a strategic presence with the client and agency team.  
    • Ensure workflow, productivity and client expectations re met or exceeded.
    • Makes decisions based on what is right for clients’ business.
    • Grow business through both casual and formal pitches and RFPs, partnering closely with agency teams to build new approaches to proactive pitching.

    Qualifications

    • Strategy-level experience with all digital channels, with a heavy emphasis on digital: search, paid, social, email, CRM, display, retargeting
    • Experienced with offline media channels, and how to construct a media plan that leverages strengths of each channel so all work together as an ecosystem
    • Experienced project management with complex campaigns andteams 
    • Flexible self-starter who can take ownership of multiple, fast-moving projects at once
    • Quick thinker with proven ability to handle client interactions and project management
    • Ability to analyze information into action and recommendations, and then compile into marketing plans/presentation decks
    • Technical knowledge of and enthusiasm for digital trends, analytics tools, best practices and data-driven solutions with the ability to learn and adapt to new concepts
    • A command of written and visual communications with an original and clear point of view
    • 5+ years of agency and/or consulting experience
    • 2+ years in a client-leadership position of digital teams
    • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing multi-channel, multi-faceted integrated media plans 
    • Ability to offer proactive solutions and ensure successful progression without guidance
    • Ability to mentor and provide leadership across departments in a team and matrix environment
    • Ability to exhibit client service approach with results-driven performance
