  • Overview

    Works in an architect role as part of a product development team designing software products and services that will operate as part of the Consumer Engagement Platform (CEP), which supports clients’ digital marketing activities. Software solutions include creating and supporting big data, real time services, data warehouses and data marts of client’s customers and prospects; creating extract, transform and load (ETL) data movement processes; and creating data extraction processes.



    • Interacts with all levels of team members and clients
    • Selects and integrates big data tools and frameworks
    • Designs ETL or workflow processes
    • Conducts reviews of developed code
    • Mentors developers on established guidelines and best practices
    • Creates design and other system documentation in accordance with established processes and policies
    • Interacts frequently with Account Managers, Project Managers, and clients.
    • Diagnoses and corrects system problems





    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent
    • Eight years relevant job experience
    • Interest in learning the concepts and practices, acquiring the skills, and developing the expertise needed to succeed in this position

    • Experienced in Erwin
    • Oracle Exadata
    • Application DBA (Physical DB implementation, tuning, PL/SQL, Materialized Views)
    • ETL
    • Informatica
    • PL/SQL Scripts , Stored Procedures, etc.
    • Deep problem solving and data analysis (logical) experience.
    • Campaign, Marketing and CRM
    • The ideal candidate will have some experience designing and implementing big data management solutions:
    • Experience with "big data" platforms and tools including data acquisition, storage and transformation (such as Hadoop, YARN, Storm, and Kafka)
    • Experience with highly available, scalable database technologies (such as IBM Big SQL, Pivotal HAWQ, or Cloudera Impala)
    • Experience with real-time data ingestion, transformation, and delivery in a Hadoop environment
    • Experience with iterative and/or hybrid software development lifecycle methodologies is desired
    • Experience working in a software product development setting is desired (especially delivering Software as a Service)
    • Experience with JSON and XML
    • Nice to have Java or other development language background
    • Nice to have dimensional data modeling to design data warehouses, data marts and metadata
