    Public Relations Manager


    Wunderman and POSSIBLE are looking for a media relations rock star with 5-8 years of experience to join the expanding PR and Marketing team. This person will help drive the agency’s day-to-day PR program to build awareness for the agency’s work, thought leadership, culture and vertical divisions. This person will work for one agency across two brands and will report to the Global PR Lead.


    The ideal person will have 5-8 years of PR, marketing or journalism experience, an entrepreneurial mindset, a self-starter, fantastic writing credentials, and unwavering enthusiasm for telling the big, media-fueled ideas that help our business achieve our goals. They must be curious and driven to learn about digital marketing, creative, data, e-commerce, technology, and media. They should also possess a team-oriented “get things done” attitude.


    This person will be a member of the Global Marketing team for both Wunderman and POSSIBLE. This is a unique global team working across two brands with a similar vision. This person will contribute to the marketing vision and goals for both brands. Wunderman and POSSIBLE are both leading global digital agencies and part of WPP.


    What you'll be doing:

    • Manage day-to-day PR activities, including media relations management, pitching stories, training and prepping spokespeople for interviews, overseeing PR lists, and monitoring for coverage.
    • Develop external communications plans to support business objectives and vision across all divisions.
    • Help increase top-tier media coverage and maintain the focus, quality, and frequency of coverage by understanding the news cycles and breaking down the information into media-ready pitches for the advertising, business, commerce, digital, innovation, media, marketing and technology publications.  
    • Identify story angles and craft compelling pitches around the work, thought leadership and vertical businesses.
    • Help with day-to-day PR activities for Wunderman Commerce in North America.
    • Help with PR around the industry’s big events including Cannes and CES. 
    • Identify and vet speaking opportunities.
    • Manage editorial calendars.
    • Help coordinate day-to-day activities with the external public relations agency.
    • Track media coverage and provide reports to the business and marketing team.


    • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications and marketing.
    • 5-8 years of experience in a communications or public relations role.
    • Strategic thinker with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    • Knowledge of the media landscape and a strong rolodex of contacts.
    • The comfort level and proven ability to be a communications consultant to senior management regarding the development of strategy, clear messages and appropriate channels of delivery.
    • A high attention to detail, process-oriented, and a motivated self-starter.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and flexibility to accommodate demanding project schedules.
    • Ability to translate complex information into compelling written materials that motivate journalists and business audiences to action, including press releases, media pitches, bylines, executive communications, and blog posts.
    • A proactive, collaborative, resourceful and “can do” attitude while remaining professional at all times.
    • A high level of integrity and sensitivity to confidential information
    • Experience with public relations platforms such as PR Newswire, Cision, etc.
    • Sensitivity to the cultural variances across different countries.
