    At Wunderman, we are creatively driven and data inspired— it’s what sets us apart from other agencies.  We are seeking a VP, Marketing Technology to join the Performance Media leadership team and drive marketing technology solutions for Wunderman’s roster of industry-leading clients.  As the owner of marketing technology, you serve as the chief architect for digital technology solutions, remain current on digital innovation trends, and execute on data-driven initiatives for direct-to-consumer marketing.



    • Understand clients’ marketing and communication needs and apply creative technology solutions that enable improved results
    • Serve as the technical lead for client engagements and designs/defines how to best leverage Wunderman’s multi-channel marketing technology solutions and other internal capabilities
    • Deliver technical requirements and solutions in the following areas of expertise: Audience Segmentation, DMP, DSP, Social Media, Content, DAM, CRM and Identity platforms. Connect these platforms with databases and other media technology by leveraging API integration knowledge
    • Drive internal process and technical innovation, which will require the creation of documents, presentations, architecture diagrams, process flows, data model diagrams, and solution design documents
    • Support business development efforts by providing digital technology-related insights and analysis
    • Lead multiple projects/work streams within a program, and identify additional business opportunities
    • Stay up-to-date on a rapidly evolving marketing and advertising technology landscapes
    • Evaluate and implement Google’s set of services including: Big Query, Tensors, Google Analytics 360, Attribution 360, Google Cloud Platform, DoubleClick
    • Support implementation and ongoing management of Adobe Marketing Cloud products: Experience Manager, Target, Analytics, Audience Manager



    • Lead the overall strategic direction of the marketing technology team that architects, builds and implements technology solutions to support digital service lines and client needs
    • Serve as chief technology solution architect for marketing technology needs
    • Accountable for the successful day-to-day operations the marketing technology team
    • Grow service line revenue through increased technology offerings
    • Develop new marketing technology products to solve client gaps
    • Manage, mentor, and train a team of developers and marketing technologists to foster an environment of professional development and growth
    • Attract and retain marketing technology talent
    • Own and manage marketing technology SaaS solutions and vendor relationships – ION,  Adobe Experience Manager, SilverPop, DialogTech, Salesforce, Google, etc.
    • Support business development efforts as necessary. This includes conceptual design, sizing and pricing, proposal development, proof-of-concept development, and supporting sales presentations
    • Participate in project meetings as the technology lead, and serve as the first-line of escalation for operations issues and delivery challenges
    • Meet with external clients to review account performance, resolve delievery issues and plan future phases of work.
    • Communicate effectively with upper management on engagement activities and overall health of the engagement



    -          Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

    -          7+ years experience with technology consulting  or digital marketing leadership

    -          7+ years of development, digital media and/or SaaS marketing automation leadership focused on data integration and media/reporting solutions

    -          Must be able to get deep in the details to understand what the information is saying while also maintaining focus on the big picture in order to make strategic recommendations

    -          Strong leader with the ability to mentor across a matrix organization

    -          Self-starter and pro-active, requiring minimal supervision

    -          Strong oral and written communication skills

    -          Experience with digital innovation tools (web analytics, personalization, media activation)
