    To help us succeed, Wunderman is seeking a department lead for our Paid Digital Media Team which strategizes and executes campaigns across all digital channels such as Search, Social, and Display for our clients. The Director/VP of Digital Media role is managerial and contributes to the overall agency leadership. This individual oversees all media buyers, planners, and ad operations specialists.  This person provides team leadership, strategic leadership, understands all aspects of their client’s business and is deeply involved in the future offerings of the agency.  They will cultivate deep relationships with clients, media partners and within the Wunderman network and expected to take part in new business pitches and agency development. Role ranges from overall insights and strategy to ad operations and campaign analytics.   

    Responsibilities

    • Works closely with senior office leadership to define overall strategic direction within our agency
    • Develop clear best practices and guidelines for how the agency uses different digital media channels and/or delivers different objectives that can drive performance
    • Lead operational excellence, helping to drive flawless execution in media placement as well as appropriate staffing and resourcing to deliver on agreed scopes of work
    • Build and grow high profile client relationships
    • Directs the development of client presentations and other important communication
    • Demonstrate thought leadership and innovation for existing and emerging media efforts
    • Target top talent through recruiting and focus on growth of existing team to ensure all team members are being challenged to reach top potential
    • Collaborate on the establishment of internal team processes, and help review existing processes, so that the workflow of the team is efficient, streamlined, and ensured to produce quality outputs
    • Cultivate client relationships through active involvement of high profile accounts as well as advise clients on their digital needs and the best strategic paid media approaches
    • Strategize campaign development, and then manage results through performance analysis and optimization efforts
    • Develop and present Media Strategy Briefs based on market research, digital media best practices, and input from media buyers
    • Support new business pitches from a paid media perspective

    Qualifications

    • 8-10 years of directly related experience
    • 3-5 years of management experience
    • Experience developing strategic media, digital and communications outreach plans and campaigns
    • Ability to conceptualize big-picture and long-term, and think creatively for clients
    • Experience interacting with clients on behalf of an agency
    • Expert familiarity with paid digital tactics, and reliable digital UX instincts
    • Strong grasp of tools, formats and platforms including: Google Marketing Platform, Google Ads, Bing, Yahoo, The TradeDesk,, Facebook Business Manager, HTML5, Video Ads, Programmatic Creative and Dynamic Creative Optimization, Google Merchant Center, etc.
    • Proven experience producing strong digital innovation and business results
    • Fluent in mathematical concepts with an ability to translate data into well-articulated ideas
