  • Overview

    Supports and guides day-to-day Account Management operations while working with team leader(s) and strategic partners to support client business.



    • Demonstrates a core understanding of relationship marketing tools and techniques
    • Participates in and contributes to overall planning process
    • Ensures agency deliverables meet client’s strategy and are cohesive with client goals and objectives
    • May crafts programs and product marketing strategies and analyses for clients
    • Reviews program results, research findings, segmentation data, competitive activity, etc., with
    • Account Management staff and other strategic partners across departments (e.g., Marketing
    • Intelligence, Strategy & Insights, Interactive Strategy, etc.) to identify marketing opportunities-
    • Utilizes analytic financial principles to refine program strategy (e.g., root cause analysis, yield/loss, allowable spend, etc.) as appropriate Client Relations
    • Acts as primary client contact on day-to-day program development and execution
    • Ensures client needs and deliverables are met on time and on budget in relation to all programs
    • Proactively solicits client feedback regarding agency performance and whether agency is meeting expectations. Alerts account leader(s) of client feedback results Works with account leader(s) on sell-in for new project ideas to client and utilizes additional agency and network resources
    • Works with account leader(s) to manage client expectations


    Project Management

    • Plans and prioritizes account team work plan and delegates responsibilities
    • Assists with day-to-day account problem solving-Reviews initial and revised job-level budgets and reviews appropriate job-level tracking reports
    • Collaborates with account leader(s) to prepare annual client fee budget and to ensure budgets and forecasts are updated as needed-Collaborates with other strategic partners across departments (e.g., Marketing Intelligence, Strategy & Insights, Interactive Strategy, etc.) to develop forecast and inventory management

    Staff Development/Team Building

    • Assists team leader(s) and strategic partners with the interviewing, hiring, training and evaluation of Account
    • Assists in new business development and presentations as requested



    •  Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field plus ten years' experience in an advertising/direct marketing agency
    • 3+ years' supervisory experience-Financial/Pharma industry experience a plus with demonstrated integrated campaign experience
    • Digital/interactive campaign experience required
    • Ability to lead & work across internal departments, independently & within a team matrix environment, to create & solve clients' marketing problems
    • Ability to offer proactive solutions and ensure successful progression without guidance when necessary
    • Comprehensive understanding of relationship marketing techniques and how they are utilized to deliver client objectives
    • Excellent communication skills, including but not limited to:
      • Writing long and short formats, presenting projects and listening to clients and working associates
      • Ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task effectively
      • Ability to exhibit client service approach with results-driven performance
