  • Overview

    This role, in the Insights & Innovation department, is part brand planner and part marketing strategist – providing oversight over brand development as well as channel execution.  As Associate Director you will oversee strategy decisions for your clients, while supervising a team of direct reports.

     

     

    Responsibilities

    You have experience across the spectrum of strategic planning and can identify the right approaches to tackle various client challenges. You are insights driven and lean on data to form well-considered positions, which you enjoy sharing with others. You are inspired by great creative and are adept at helping others come up with the big idea. You have a depth of experience working in digital channels and recognize the future ahead. Above all, you work best on a team and are able to lead different perspective towards consensus in order to craft the best marketing strategy.

     

    • Understand client’s business and lead team in determining marketing goals and making recommendations on how to meet goals
    • Manage and lead market research projects, moderating when appropriate
    • Manage Collision insight gathering process and identify key customer needs
    • Develop competitive positioning, craft creative briefs and develop creative territories
    • Lead team in developing and presenting strategic recommendations, annual plans & workshops
    • Provide management and career development oversight for direct reports; conduct performance reviews
    • Support new business pitches; attend pitches

     

     

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years or more experience in marketing strategy or related fie
    • Experience overseeing and leading cross-functional teams or managing direct reports
    • Marketing experience in one or more industry categories: e.g., pharmaceuticals, health care, retail/services, high-tech, financial services.
    • Advanced competencies in Microsoft Office and Internet environments
    • Ability to prioritize time well and juggle multiple projects effectively
    • Ability to scope projects and identify budget implications and constraints
    • Excellent writing, verbal, presentation and consensus-building skills
    • Intuitive and analytical approach to problem solving
    • Ability to collaborate and integrate in a team and matrix environment
