The Receptionist is a key member of the Wunderman Data Management (WDM) team. This position is responsible for making and maintaining a positive first impression for WDM guests and team members while providing world-class service.
Open the reception area on a daily basis so that it is ready for business promptly at starting time.
Answer incoming calls promptly and courteously, and responsible for checking the general office voice mailbox and follow up on any needed items.
Maintain the log for “reception calendar” (for back-up purposes).
Greet and log any guests into the office, and produce visitor badges for all guests.
Maintain and distribute company extension lists.
Print extension lists for distribution to all conference rooms.
Sort and distribute daily mail.
Maintain an updated version of procedures manual for the reception desk.
Close down the reception area every day before leaving.
Excellent verbal communication skills, including professional demeanor on the telephone, and when greeting and speaking to guests in the workplace.
Excellent written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize projects.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma; some college preferred.
1-2 years of experience in a receptionist role or similar business experiences.
2-3 years of experience working in the Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel and Outlook.
