    Wunderman, the creative/data arm of WPP and one of the world’s most highly regarded agencies, is seeking a forward-thinking HR professional with 10+ years’ progressive experience in matrix organizations to join our team as Human Resources Director for our Data & Analytics group of brands – which include offices in Dallas, Houston and Kansas City. Reporting into New York, and part of the global HR team, you will own the people strategy for your P&L's within Wunderman. This is an exciting time to be joining our organization.


    In this critical HR leadership role, you will engage with key business leaders to ensure a human resources plan that drives business success.  The plan will include a comprehensive workforce strategy aligned with the business strategy, including employee engagement.  You’ll achieve success by partnering across the broader Wunderman organization to leverage HR business partner and specialist support in the areas of learning & development, talent acquisition, and reward.  As a member of the Wunderman Global HR team with cross-Wunderman responsibilities, you will own & drive global initiatives and champion a collaborative culture.


    Specifically, you will…

    • Drive people plan for the Wunderman business, with input on key people initiatives contributing to business growth in the region, by developing effective working relationships, influencing and challenging as appropriate.
    • Guide and support leadership with our ongoing organizational design transformation
    • Guide and support leadership in defining and implementing programs designed to foster a culture of belonging.
    • Build a workforce plan addressing short/longer term talent requirements to support business growth, ensuring sound understanding of business growth drivers from a people perspective.
    • Equip key business leaders with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage employees in line with their people plans, including coaching for high performance and employee development.
    • Engage deeply with the Wunderman HR shared services team to deploy appropriate HR resources in support of your business’s objectives and to ensure consistent deployment of initiatives.
    • Champion, with the Global Chief Talent Officer, the transitioning of performance management from an annual process to an agile one that develops talent and identifies high performance.
    • Identify opportunities to improve employee engagement, leveraging matrix resources to achieve identified improvement targets.
    • Provide transformational support on change management initiatives, for key projects to improve business performance.
    • Partner with Learning & Development Center of Expertise to contribute to ‘agile’ talent management systems and the right conversations facilitating movement of talent across Wunderman. Use analytics to understand root causes and drive people-related decisions, contributing to an HR dashboard relevant to both Wunderman N.A. and Wunderman's overall people metrics.

    The successful candidate will...



    • Track record of success in a human resources career with 10+ years’ progressive HR experience, ideally within a complex matrix environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic approach while ensuring pragmatic delivery.
    • Global mindset and client-focus, with demonstrated ability to collaborate and partner effectively as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills, both written and spoken.
    • Understanding of the change management agenda and associated tools, ideally with a change management qualification.
    • Demonstrated effective use of analytics in driving people-related initiatives.
    • Experience in center of expertise such as Learning or Reward is ideal in addition to generalist experience.
    • Bachelors’ degree preferred, with a post-graduate HR certification (e.g. G/SPHR) desired.
