  • Overview

    Wunderman is seeking a Digital Transformation Lead for Wunderman’s second largest client (a Fortune 50 company) in North America and third largest client for Wunderman globally. The Digital Transformation Lead (DTL) will be charged with setting the vision, direction and strategy for how Wunderman-led solutions will enable its client to achieve its business goals. The DTL is the senior most agency leader and client contact.

     

    In line with this, the DTL will evangelize how the organization can future-proof their customer engagements, working alongside the client and our teams to orchestrate the roadmap design for executing this transformation across capabilities and business units. He/She will also leverage the appropriate Wunderman teams, bringing all of our data, creative, technology and marketing services to ensure we are create exceptional customer experiences and enduring solutions on behalf of the client.   

     

    In the role, the DTL will facilitate collaboration and partnership with our senior leadership across the WPP network, and will have the ultimate responsibility for revenue, growth and delivery of services for the clients in NA, as well as global expansion opportunities. They will be a hands-on visible leader, credible with the most senior clients, and also able to work closely across teams both internally and externally.

    Responsibilities

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as a strategic advisor to Wunderman and WPP. Engage with Wunderman colleagues across the network, evangelizing best practices, recommending appropriate investments, and ensuring that Wunderman delivers the best in class service
    • Develop and leveraging Digital Transformation thought leadership, in conjunction and alignment with global practice leadership, to engage and influence local and regional networks of clients and network partners
    • Overall P&L responsibility for the business, including account revenue and profit, growth and delivery globally
    • Hands-on client and agency team leader, engaged and involved in client work
    • The ability to shape and sell complex digital and technology-based transformation programs that deliver business value
    • The ability to lead Wunderman network teams and develop go-to-market offerings, working in collaboration with existing functional teams
    • Build robust internal relationships with client and industry focused teams, in order to best align and position our portfolio of products and services, and to deliver our go-to-market objectives
    • Sophisticated communication skills, both bottom-up and top-down, with the ability to work with CXOs as peers in a digital world, as well as agile-based delivery teams

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Health care thought leader/strategic thinker/practice builder
    • Proven success in global client management at the most senior level within a matrixed agency environment
    • Build, lead and manage a business development “hunter” function partnering closely with WPP Client teams and across Wunderman network
    • The ability to identify new revenue opportunities and maximize the potential of digital products and services
    • Highly developed business acumen and the ability to understand industry issues, technology trends, and the competitive landscape
    • Hands-on client and agency team leader, engaged and involved in client work
    • Dynamic leadership, management and team building skills

     

    Qualifications

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A senior agency executive with a minimum of 15+ years of professional experience in health care, digital, direct and data marketing, advertising and related disciplines
    • Consulting services exposure, including significant selling and business development experience gained from multiple sectors
    • Experience with Digital Transformations gained from consulting companies, software vendors, or as a business leader
    • Experience with autoimmune, vaccines and oncology preferred
    • Passion for innovation, and the ability to influence and drive consensus with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
    • Understanding of Marketing Automation, platforms and technologies, as well as content marketing, social and mobile marketing
    • BA/BS degree required; MBA a plus
