We are currently looking for an excel whiz with a passion for technology and efficiency optimization to join our Operations team. The Business Operations Analyst role owns all reporting for their Clients business, builds and supports the administration and data quality of reporting systems, and provides key business insights as it relates to the business. The Operations and finance team prides itself in bringing order to the wild world of an advertising agency, while participating in our fair share of chalk board art, zombie apocalypse battles and epic summer parties.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage regular and ad hoc financial reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI that identify and communicate the health of the business including any areas of concern to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Sustain visibility in financial performance of client accounts to enable informed business decisions at the program level
  • Partner across disciplines with finance, account, project and resource management teams to ensure all data is up to date and accurate.
  • Create business recommendations to operations, finance and project management leadership by synthesizing data, analyzing business trends, and developing forecast models as they relate to key KPIs
  • Partner with global business intelligence team to inform the consolidation of data across the network.
  • Present business recommendations clearly and effectively to key business leads
  • Monitor and maintain system data quality, resolving root causes of anomalies
  • Support business processes to ensure effective and efficient operations, assist in internal and external audits, and perform other responsibilities as required.

Qualifications

  • Advanced Excel proficiency required
  • Power BI or Tableau experience required
  • 3-5 years in financial, data, program management or business analyst role; has the aptitude to be successful in any of these areas. Agency experience a plus
  • Ability to distil complex information and data into simple, actionable business insights
  • Detail-oriented, creative problem solver
  • Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Resourcefulness, self-management skills and self-starter attitude highly valued
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance or equivalent quantitative experience
  • Preferred qualifications: Experience using Microsoft Office products (emphasis on Excel and Power Bi), Salesforce.com, and ERP systems such as NetSuite.
