Overview

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for successfully planning, managing and delivering high priority and highly visible data management projects for a major Healthcare client according to strict deadlines and within budget while leveraging standard project management philosophies, software and associated processes. This includes projects that cross technology platforms, creative, strategy and analytics disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop full-scale, detailed project plans and associated communications documents.
  • Plan, schedule, track and manage project timelines, milestones and deliverables. Work with internal teams to develop and validate schedules and project plans and gain customer agreement to these
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
  • Maintain master project documentation
  • Regularly reviewing project scope, costs, performance and business benefits to keep the project on track
  • Maintain project status reports.
  • Facilitate project status meetings
  • Facilitate communication between functional groups
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Ensure the Scope Change Management Process is followed. Ensure all changes are identified, validated and estimated. Communicate impact of changes and re-baseline project.
  • Manage / Assess Project Risk.
  • Ensure the Issues Management Process is followed.
  • Document / Review "Lessons Learned"
  • Facilitate requests and distribute to appropriate IT groups for completion of work.
  • Establish and uphold consistent procedures to ensure efficient workflow. Document evolution to workflow processes and procedures.
  • Train cross functional team members on new processes and procedures and tools
  • Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals. Manage project resources
  • Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitments if necessary during project cycle.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.

Qualifications

The skills, experience, and knowledge required to be considered for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems/Technology or other related technical field with a minimum of 7+ years in a Project Management role in lieu of a degree.
  • Project Management Certification Required
  • Proven experience managing large complex migrations of data and transformation projects.
  • Technical exposure to an aspect of marketing technology solutions and customer data management platforms
  • Proven ability to steward client relationships to ensure successful projects
  • Working knowledge and experience with IT project management processes.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to interface with internal customers, and management.
  • Mastery of Project Scheduling, Risk and Issue Management at a micro task level
  • The ability to drive results through others.
  • Experience managing a team of technical individuals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)

Additional Experience/Skills, considered a plus:

  • Solid experience in an Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid software development methodologies
  • Data Management and Healthcare technology a plus
  • Domain knowledge in Marketing strongly preferred
  • Ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications
  • Interacting professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Proven experience working across technology groups to deliver highly complex, technical solutions.
  • Knowledge of SQL and ability to analyze data results
