Overview

Our growing Austin office is currently looking for a savvy, seasoned strategist to spearhead the discipline locally. You know your way around digital strategy and marketing technology platforms. But you’re also interested in leading and challenging a department and an agency.

Responsibilities

Adding special sauce: Work with your team to create fresh new channel strategies, customer experiences and contact plans that define how clients should use digital, offline and social channels in ways that excite them

Playing nicely with others: You'll work closely with client services, analytics, and creative leads to help integrate all marketing elements, touch points and communication strategies.

Being a Platform and Channel Swami: You’ll help the agency and our clients see what kind of innovative channel/media thinking is coming down the pipeline. You’ll work with our local technologists and network SMEs to develop and bring marketing technology vision and possibility to life for our clients.

Talking Trees AND Forest: You’ll write interesting and fresh brand narratives for the work you do – the detailed personas, journeys and the bigger picture strategy

Cracking the Code: You’ll be looking for ways to drive more effective strategy work for clients and Wunderman

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of agency or related consulting company experience
  • The ability to see the big picture and sell it to clients
  • Passion for technology – as a marketer and as a consumer
  • A strong understanding of brands with proven experience in delivering effective digital and business strategy globally
  • Outstanding client interaction skills, especially with senior clients
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and mentoring team members
  • Curiosity for information and the ability to apply quantitative and qualitative inputs and insights
  • Exceptional verbal, written communication and negotiation skills
  • Sense of humor and grace, ability to deal with ambiguity, frequently changing priorities and compressed time frames
