We are seeking a dynamic Group Account Director to work on the launch of an exciting new piece of consumer healthcare business. This is an exciting opportunity to lead, and leverage all of our capabilities to solve our clients' unique business problems and deliver powerful solutions across the full spectrum of data, technology and marketing services, in order to help our clients maximize opportunities provided by the digital revolution.     

 

Responsibilities

About the role:

 

The Group Account Director is the main “go-to” person for our clients, engaging with them on a strategic level that results in the development of campaigns and programs that solve their business challenges.  He/she is an internal team motivator and thought-leader with a proclivity for understanding the healthcare landscape and client’s business imperatives, and can translate and partner with the internal agency’s cross-discipline teams to develop and execute innovative solutions.

 

In a nutshell, the responsibility of the Group Account Director is to manage his or her portfolio of clients and to be a leader and visionary for those clients.   In doing this, he/she is responsible for meeting revenue and margin targets.

 

This role reports to Wunderman Health’s Managing Director (NY) and will also work closely with Wunderman Health’s CEO, Becky Chidester.

 

Responsibilities:

  • BA/BS, MBA preferred
  • Lead/manage significant and often complex client engagements, with ability to handle multiple clients/projects at one time – providing leadership and counsel to clients at key points during project deliver
  • Be a trusted advisor to the client -- advocating at the agency for client’s objectives, adding value by facilitating knowledge sharing, providing introductions to industry partners, and delivering exceptional service
  • Identify and develop new opportunities from existing clients
  • Actively seek and monitor client satisfaction, obtaining both structured and formal feedback
  • Assume overall fiscal account responsibility, including client budget and campaign profits and losses thereby driving operational excellence within the portfolio
  • Work with agency leadership and project managers to accurately scope projects, recommend staffing plans, set team expectations, and lead the performance appraisal process
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of clients’ business and industry, anticipating and addressing opportunities and issues as they arise
  • Be the foremost cheerleader for the agency’s work; collaborating with all disciplines to inspire the highest output while maintaining a clear eye to budgets and timelines
  • Mentor and coach team members, guiding their career development and proactively ensuring growth opportunities in the organization

Qualifications

  • BA/BS, MBA preferred
  • 10+ years managing teams and successfully delivering strategic business solutions for large global clients
  • Demonstrated experience working with large consumer healthcare clients, have a strong digital agency background and a demonstrated experience growing business.
  • Proven track record in building strong client relationships, as well as managing and inspiring multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills to effectively articulate ideas to clients, colleagues and others.
  • Extensive experience of managing profitable and high revenue client accounts
  • Track record for winning new client engagements and new opportunities within the client organization
  • The ability to see the big picture and passionately sell it to clients
  • The ability to adapt to adapt and flex to constantly changing challenges
  • Strong understanding of brands with proven experience in delivering effective digital and CRM business strategy globally
