We are seeking an energetic Vice President, Business Development with an ability to sell the Acceleration Consulting Services and Solutions across, data, technology, analytics and operational models to help enterprise clients create customer centric capability. In addition to the consulting services and solutions, Acceleration works with technology partners that deliver value across a broad marketing technology stack.  The suitable candidate will need to be consultative, and creative in their approach to selling the Acceleration value proposition.


The role requires a good technical understanding of marketing technology, but with a focus on the consulting and services that deliver real value.


More than anything, we are looking for someone with the right attitude.



Reporting and Management Structures

Work in a collaborative, team-based structure alongside other Business Managers, Consultants and Business Development resources.  You will report to the Managing Director with a dotted line to the Chief Commercial Officer.





  • Lead and co-ordinate the development of new business opportunities
  • Identify, Qualify, Propose, Close and hand-over to Business Managers and Consultants for delivery
  • Manage leads in and take responsibility for a reliable pipeline forecast
  • Build relationships with, and sell alongside Wunderman and technology partners when required
  • Work alongside, and in collaboration with Managing Director, Consultants and Business Directors to achieve annual target
  • Keep up to date with latest industry knowledge and developments
  • Support Acceleration’s positioning as a services / solutions company


Hard Skills:

  • Proven consultative sales record with Fortune 500 companies
  • Broad understanding of multiple business verticals and business models
  • Understanding of the industry's issues, a vision for its growth, and a commitment to advance technology partners forward-looking strategies within the marketplace
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, complex, and perpetually evolving environment
  • Ability to develop and grow senior-level relationships within Wunderman, WPP, client agencies and enterprise clients
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Experience with a broad range of multi-channel marketing technologies
  • Ability to talk on the fly about the rapidly evolving marketing technology ecosystem
  • Higher education degree or similar

  • An aptitude and appetite to learn about new consulting frameworks, enterprise client solutions and technology platforms in an extremely dynamic environment
  • An agile learner, capable of asking the right questions and drawing upon an intellectual foundation to engage with new concepts, as they are being presented
  • Strong client facing experience, self-managed, responsive, and dedicated to customer support
