Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Technical Services Director, this role performs the following functions:

  • Performs all management responsibilities for assigned staff (local and remote); team size: 7+
  • Assigns project tasks based on current priorities, urgency and revenue goals; re-shuffles assignments as needed to meet goals or as project plans change
    • Works closely with the Project Management team to understand shifting project plans and adjust accordingly
    • Works closely with the Service Management team to understand the urgency surrounding Break-Fix projects and assigns tasks to team to fit the need
  • Identifies QA process inefficiencies and recommends improvements
  • Prepares monthly operational reports including, but not limited to: QA Throughput, Defect Management
  • Collaborates with Development Managers to improve defect ratio in QA
  • Identifies opportunities to expand the role of the team as the WDM solutions evolve (new platforms, new technologies, etc.)

Qualifications

Minimum Business Skills:

  • Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of database and data management concepts
  • Demonstrate leadership skills
  • Understands test planning and testing concepts in order to effectively manage resources
  • Demonstrates ability to break down and effectively solve problems
  • Good communication skills, in both verbal and written English; effectively gets ideas, thoughts and information across in written form and through speaking with others. Must clearly articulate project goals and objectives to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Service-oriented
  • Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
  • Ability to build and maintain team relationships across geographic areas
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to effectively lead a team of individuals with consideration of work-life balance, while still achieving project deadlines and goals

Minimum Technical Skills:

  • Database and SQL experience
  • Software Development and/or Production Delivery experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Valued Experience:

  • Resource management experience
  • Project management experience
