Overview

Our Strategic Planning & Consulting team brings deep industry experience, rigorous analytical capabilities and actionable business strategies to help solve our clients most complex Sales and Marketing challenges.  The Senior Strategic Planner supports the SVP/Director of Consulting Services in all aspects of engagement delivery including problem definition, data collection and analysis, strategic recommendations and final client delivery.

 

The Senior Strategic Planner is expected to successfully craft a marketing story – one that resonates with each audience – and is built on strong data and insights. The Senior Strategic Planner should demonstrate high quality execution, and consistently deliver assignments on-time and on-business objective.  

Responsibilities

The Senior Strategic Planner acts as the project lead on client engagements and is directly responsible for the daily client relationship. 

 

In addition, the Senior Strategic Planner:

 

  • Represents the voice and interest of the consumer, keeping the agency grounded and forward thinking
  • Gets to know our clients (and their brands) intimately;  the markets in which they compete, and their consumers
  • Works with account leadership to create and implement marketing roadmaps, proposals, project scoping and the delivery of new solutions to customers
  • Provides strategic planning and insight driven recommendations
  • Independently leads performance and strategy presentations
  • Keeps senior management apprised of key customer opportunities, potential risks and other key nuances which affect the growth of the business or department
  • Creates formal and informal presentations to win and educate customers, prospects and internal teams
  • Gains expertise in all vendor capabilities and how they are applied to customer products and services
  • Partners with management to identify and prioritize key accounts, which includes active maintenance of project plans and preparation of materials
  • Spends 80% of their time on billable consulting/project management
  • Is expected to travel to client locations up to 50% of the time

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years Healthcare, Consulting or Direct Marketing/Agency experience
  • Expertise with Microsoft office, productivity and analytical software
  • Demonstrated track record of client relationship development and service
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Strategic thinker, rigorous analytics capabilities and pragmatic problem solving skills
  • Self-directed, motivated, & energetic
  • Ability to complete accurate analysis and effective diagnosis of client issues
  • Experience managing day to day client relationships
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills leveraged via presentations, correspondence and client relationships.
  • Ability to lead client workshops and to facilitate strategic planning sessions
  • Excellent project and time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and manage deadlines and deliverables in a matrixed environment
  • General understanding of the healthcare industry, reimbursement, payor, provider and/or managed care is desired
