The Successful Candidate

Responsibilities

  • Deliver advanced UX excellence—from UX strategy and planning to all UX methods employed through design, development, and production—to agency client engagements  
  • Manage numerous simultaneous projects and initiatives, for one or more clients, all to completion on time and within budget
  • Through research understands the consumer journey and is able to identify the best touch points and design approach.
  • Oversee the UX delivery, ensuring quality of the work and that the output aligns to business goals established by clients in agency briefs
  • Actively participate in defining how the UX delivery integrates or collaborates with related disciplines (e.g., S&I, Creative, Technology) for successful delivery of client work; manage and monitor the collaboration and transitions between UX and other disciplines through the project lifecycle
  • Maintain vigilance over developments and changes in the field of UX to ensure the agency’s point of view is relevant and new solutions meet or beat parity with best-in-class experiences in market

 

 

 

 

Qualifications

  • Expertise in planning and delivering user-centered design methodologies, to include:

- Heuristic analysis and cognitive walkthroughs

- Stakeholder interviews

- Information design and navigation systems for internet, intranet and extranet sites, as well as online and mobile applications

 

- Task and gap analyses

- Content analysis and strategy

- Usability testing

  • Expertise in creating and/or managing user-centered design artifacts, to include:

- Personas

- Customer journeys

- User flow diagrams

- Site maps and taxonomies

- Wireframes

- Lo-fi prototypes

- Feature/function matrices

- User requirements

 

  • Ability to prepare and present refined user-experience thought and design recommendations based on business goals, strategic insights, competitive analysis, user research, UCD and IA principles
  • Ability to work with strategists to leverage primary research to craft industry-leading user experiences
  • Excellent interpersonal and client presentation skills, including expertise with communications tools to produce client presentations
  • A passion for the digital space, multi-channel experiences, web technologies, and user-centered design
  • Ease with working in an integrated agency environment
  • Ability to be a trusted internal and external adviser and evangelist 
  • The nature of a thinker and a doer, eager to tackle challenges and solve problems

 

Required Experience:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with an emphasis on design, and UCD/HCI/UX or equivalent experience required
  • Graduate degree a plus
  • Seven to 10 years of experience in the digital space
